Mark, Shane, Rory and Kevin.

These four guys will have you dancing in no time. A professional attitude and attention to detail makes for an amazing sound and with the highest level of musicianship to back it up, each song is true to the original and full of energy.

Using state of the art equipment to guarantee an amazing sound, The Next Step have a stage and lighting show that has everybody talking. Playing songs from every genre and with dance moves that would make Bruno Mars band happy. The Next Step are the band to make your big day a Big Success

Mark Guildea

On local, national and international stages now for over three decades, Mark has a lifetime of experience to give, and he gives it all in each performance from the first note, to the last.

Well known for his vocal range, Mark has appeared on countless media over the years, from Kerrang Magazine to radio jingles to performing live to the nation on the well known TV show (The Voice of Ireland).

Mark has also done many tours across the UK and Germany singing many styles from Metal to Rock to American Country.

From Johnny Cash to AC/DC Mark has it covered. Mark is proud to have fronted many bands like The Rock Icons,

Catch 22 and until recently, The Lol's.

A consummate professional and an outstanding frontman, Mark is a very welcomed addition to The Next Step Wedding Band.

Shane Keeling

           Shane Keeling has been drumming for over 20 years in a wide range of settings and styles, playing at festivals and TV shows both nationally and internationally.  

His musical journey began on the piano, but aged 11, confirmation money paid for a second hand drum kit; the piano was swiftly ditched and Shane has never looked back. From playing dozens of school musicals and in god knows how many original bands as a teenager, Shane has gone on to such heights as recording albums on Sir David Gilmour’s (of Pink Floyd) famous “Astoria” houseboat studio, with Sir David himself acting as producer on the Album. In the Same year (2012) Shane was awarded “Best Overall Drummer” at the awards ceremony of the prestigious Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. Since then, Shane has returned to Ireland and opened a professional tuition facility; The Fingal Drum Academy, where he continues to pass on his musical knowledge and inspire the next generation of Irish drummers.

Kevin O'Byrne

    Kevin had and early start in music, instantly falling in love with performing when asked to step in on bass duties with a school band in his early teens and was immediately  hooked. Not long after introduced to Rory Gallagher and Pink Floyd, Kevin got serious about the electric guitar.

Fast forward fifteen years of lessons, DIY gigs and studies in Newpark Music Centre & D.I.T, Kevin is an in demand guitar instructor and performer who has gigged the four corners of the country with several appearances on ‘Vibe for Philo’ and Electric Picnic amongst many others.

Alongside eclectic experience with wedding bands across the country, Kevin is active writing original music and training in Music Therapy

Rory Elmes

        Rory is a well known Character in the Irish bass scene having toured extensively around the country.

Coming from a musical family music was always in his blood. His father played bass in the 70s Irish circuit and his brother is a world renowned Ukulele player who featured on the cover of Ukulele magazine.

With his funky style and high energetic live performances you are always guaranteed an entertaining show!
